  • Health and Safety

    • All persons use the sauna, cold shower and cold water buckets at their own risk. 

    Always:

    • The sauna is wood-fired and extremely hot. Do not touch the stove, stove door, flue chimney, rocks or surrounding heat shield.

    • Only pour the water provided on the stones and don’t dump the water. Pour slowly and start from the point furthest away from you to prevent scalding.

    • Remove footwear before entering.

    • Rinse your feet in the bucket prior to entering the sauna.

    • Sit on a clean towel.

    • Remove jewellery to prevent burns.

    • Don’t use skincare and/or haircare products for hygiene.

    • Please do not use any shampoo or soap products in the cold shower.

    • Nudity, alcohol and smoking is not permitted in or around the sauna. No alcohol can be consumed before or during the session.

    • Don’t bring food or drink into the sauna. Please leave water bottles outside.

    • Remember to drink lots of water to stay hydrated.

    • Keep the entry/ exit points clear.

    • Please don’t take photos/ videos inside the sauna in communal sessions to respect other sauna users.

    Who can use your sauna?

    • You must not use the sauna if you have high or low blood pressure, any heart or circulatory issues, suffer from epilepsy or diabetes, are pregnant, are prone to dizziness or fainting, asthma or breathing conditions, any fungal infections or open wounds on your body. If you have any medical conditions, take prescription drugs or have metal or silicone implants we ask that you consult your GP before entering the sauna.

    • Any persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to use the sauna or cold shower.

    Are children allowed in your sauna?

    • Children of 16 years and under are permitted to use the sauna during private sauna sessions only and with an Adult Family Member/ Guardian present at ALL TIMES during use of the sauna. Supervision must be on a 1:1 ratio.

    • Under 16’s are not permitted to use the cold shower and cold exposure facilities.

    • A waiver/terms and conditions must state the relationship between the parent/guardian and the minor and is signed by them accordingly.

    How long should I stay in the sauna?

    • We recommend listening to your body and taking a break before you become uncomfortable. If it becomes uncomfortably hot we recommend sitting on a lower bench where the temperature is cooler. However, you must not spend longer than 20 minutes in the sauna at a time.

    Admission policy 

    • The Drift Sauna reserves the right to refuse admission for any reason that may be deemed a health and safety risk. Refunds will not be offered to anyone refused admission.

    Group booking responsibility 

    • If booking for a group, please make sure the whole group is aware of the sauna terms and conditions and to practice safe sauna use. It is also your responsibility to ensure no more than 6 people use the sauna at a time.

  • The Drift Sauna is at Livit Adventures and Glamping, on Westacott Farm

    There is plenty of parking available.

    There are toilets and changing facilities on site, but please arrive ready to sauna.

  • What should I bring with me?

    • A waterbottle to stay hydrated (don’t worry if you forget, we have water jugs on hand)

    • 2 towels - a small one to sit on and another for you to use after the session

    • Swimwear

    How long should I stay in the sauna?

    • We recommend listening to your body and taking a break before you become uncomfortable. If it becomes uncomfortably hot we recommend sitting on a lower bench where the temperature is cooler however, you must not spend longer than 20 minutes in the sauna at a time.

    How early should I arrive before my session?

    • Arrive with enough time to enter the sauna calmly and without feeling rushed. There is plenty of space to be here early, if you would like. We recommend arriving with your swimwear already on.

    Can I bring food and drink?

    • No alcohol

    • No food or drink to be brought into the sauna. Please leave water bottles outside.

    Can I put logs and water on the stove?

    • We’ll monitor the temperature of the sauna, so please do not add any logs.

    • Only pour the water provided on the stones and don’t dump the water. Pour slowly and start from the point furthest away from you to prevent scalding

  • Are children allowed in your sauna?

  • How do I book my sauna session?

    • All bookings can be made through the Book Now section of our website.

    Can I turn up without booking?

    • You may turn up without a booking however, the sauna is limited to 6 spaces, so those with an online booking will be prioritised.

    Can I pay in person?

    • Yes, you can pay in cash in person.

    Refund Policy

    • You may cancel your booking up until 24 hours prior to your booking for a full refund.

    • You can reschedule your booking up until 24 hours prior to your booking.

    • In the unlikely event that we cancel your booking you will be notified by email and refunded.

    Weather Policy

    • The sauna operates in most weather conditions, but in extreme conditions (e.g., storms, high winds), we may cancel for safety reasons.

    • If weather prevents safe operation, we will offer a rescheduled session or refund.

    Group booking responsibility 

    • If booking for a group, please make sure the whole group is aware of the sauna terms and conditions and to practice safe sauna use. It is also your responsibility to ensure no more than 6 people use the sauna at a time.

  • Lost property 

    • We will hold onto any lost property for a month before donating it to charity.

    • The Drift Sauna takes no responsibility for the loss or damage to personal property.

    How We Handle Your Information
